What is the Atal Tinkering Lab?
The Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) is an initiative by NITI Aayog under the Atal Innovation Mission to foster innovation and creativity in school students. RKIS has a certified ATL Lab where students from Class 7 to Class 12 work on hands-on STEM projects.
Who can use the ATL Lab?
Students from Class 7 onwards can participate in ATL projects. Both Medical and Non-Medical stream students are actively involved. We also introduce younger students (Class 5) to robotics through special ATL visit sessions.
What kind of projects do students build?
Students build real working models across robotics, IoT, agriculture tech, environmental solutions, and more — from Arduino-based robots and earthquake alarms to smart irrigation systems and water purifiers.
Has RKIS ATL Lab won any awards?
Yes — RKIS has been recognized as ATL School of the Month by NITI Aayog three times (November 2023, January 2024, January 2025), placing us among the top innovation-driven schools in India.
